# Specters

## Why use Specters

[<mark style="color:violet;">Specters</mark>](https://wiki.warframe.com/w/Specter_\(Tenno\)), in any type of meta mission, are a significant asset. Whether for damage buffs or pure support, <mark style="color:violet;">Specters are indispensable</mark>.\
\
The <mark style="color:violet;">specters' weapons</mark> absolutely must be in <mark style="color:violet;">Battery</mark> (like the <mark style="color:violet;">Basmu</mark> or <mark style="color:violet;">Shedu</mark>). This will <mark style="color:violet;">limit their movement</mark> if they run out of <mark style="color:violet;">ammo</mark>, and will prevent them from <mark style="color:violet;">picking up ammo</mark> that should go to you instead.

## Which Specters use ?&#x20;

The only <mark style="color:violet;">2</mark> Specters worth using in Disruption are <mark style="color:violet;">**Nidus**</mark> and <mark style="color:violet;">**Dante**</mark>. The others are not useful.

Protea with her Dispensary? No, with <mark style="color:violet;">Nourish</mark> or just with a right build, there is <mark style="color:violet;">no reason</mark> to run out of energy.

Wisp and her Reservoirs? Her fire rate buff is far <mark style="color:violet;">too low</mark> to be of any use.<br>

It buffs <mark style="color:violet;">Ability Strength</mark>.\
It will be used by supports to greatly increase the potency of their buffs.

His Link grabs <mark style="color:violet;">through walls</mark>. Keep that in mind.

This Specter, categorized as a <mark style="color:violet;">support</mark>, will very frequently cast his 2, which grants you <mark style="color:violet;">Overguard</mark>. Occasionally, he will cast his 2 twice followed by a 4, providing an <mark style="color:violet;">Overguard regeneration</mark> on top of a large amount all at once.

As a reminder, Overguard allows you to <mark style="color:violet;">tank any status effect</mark>, making you immune to <mark style="color:violet;">knockdowns</mark> as well as <mark style="color:violet;">poison damage</mark>.
