## Intro

**Welcome to the Advanced Movements section**. Here you will find techniques that are complex both to execute and to place effectively in-game. \
\
But once mastered, they will make you **unstoppable** on any map.

## Roll cancel slide

This technique allows you to cancel the momentum of a roll through a slide. This makes it easier to pick up keys and move with precision. rpz Sige

The Roll Cancel Slide also helps prevent potential accidental deaths/dispells from a Demolisher hiding behind a door or in a corner.

## Bullet jump lateral roll

This unique movement allows you to take a perfect diagonal very quickly, making it possible to navigate difficult rooms such as the one below

To be able to perform a roll after a bullet jump, you will need to aim in order to lock your character, and then choose a roll direction.

## Mexian Furax

The Mexian, discovered by ... **Mexian** himself xd, is a way to maintain the momentum from a melee combo dash in order to cover a great distance. It is doable on any stance type, but obviously there is a meta when it comes to which stances to use.

> Fun fact: Claws have the fastest Mexian in the game.

There are 2 ways to Mexian, but here we will only cover one — the most efficient one.

Before describing the exact inputs, it is important to break down the Mexian technique in order to understand it :

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Dash Stance

First of all, a stance dash occurs when a melee strike is performed while aiming combined with a forward movement input. On the vast majority of stances, this will cause you to dash forward and deliver a close-range melee strike.

First point: every stance has a different dash — the weapon category is not the only parameter.

Second point: the higher the attack speed, the harder the Mexian will be and the faster it will be as well.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Switch Melee

Once the dash is initiated, right in the middle of the momentum, you need to perform a weapon switch. This is **mandatory** — it allows you to trigger a movement input. \
Without the switch, the Mexian will not work.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Input Jump+Roll

Very shortly after the weapon switch, you need to execute a jump followed by a roll. The jump allows you to exit the melee state, and the roll further amplifies the momentum.

The Jump + Roll propels you into the air just enough to maintain as much speed as possible. However, you can also perform a Mexian without a jump. This will cause you to descend smoothly while keeping a jump available if needed.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Mexian Ceramic / Obex

First of all, it is important to note that these 2 Mexians are **difficult cancels** and **not very rewarding** they will not send you extremely far.

However, both the Ceramic Dagger and the Obex benefit from quality-of-life advantages that the Furax does not have.

For the Ceramic Dagger: the Out Burst stack will be faster since fewer kills are required. A weapon perk allows you to stack the initial buff based on primary weapon kills — useful when playing Cyte.

For the Obex: this depends on your **skill level**. If you are very comfortable with Parkour Velocity, then the Obex is the way to go. When stacked, the Obex grants **60** Parkour Velocity which, combined with shards and mods, allows you to cross the entire map in a single roll — no Mexian needed, but very demanding movement.
